Ceramics FabLab

Discover the CTTC FabLab: a space for experimentation and innovation.

Today, we invite you to shine a spotlight on EASYCERAM by CTTC, the CTTC FabLab, a unique space dedicated to the independent shaping of ceramic materials. Located within the CTTC premises at the ESTER Technopole park in Limoges, this space is designed to welcome a wide variety of audiences:

  • The general public, technology enthusiasts, or those curious to discover ceramics,
  • Project holders, eager to turn their ideas into products,
  • Educational institutions ranging from schools to high schools, as well as innovative higher education establishments.

A structure for discovering ceramics,

EASYCERAM by CTTC is not only aimed at project holders, but also plays a key role in raising awareness among younger generations about ceramic professions. Through educational workshops, our FabManager guides students from schools, middle schools, and high schools in discovering ceramics.

These workshops, designed to be both fun and educational, aim to:

  • Break down preconceived notions about ceramics,
  • Spark curiosity about these materials,
  • Inspire vocations,
  • Encourage young talents to explore career opportunities in the ceramic industry.

In collaboration with secondary and higher education institutions, the FabLab offers content tailored to educational programs and levels, thus helping to bring ceramics to life in concrete, engaging projects.

A FabLab at the service of experimentation.

Equipped with modern and diverse tools, our FabLab allows for quick testing and prototyping of innovative concepts in the field of technical ceramics. Among the available equipment, you will find:

  • 3D printers
  • Material modeling and cutting

Our FabManager will support you throughout your project to help bring your ideas to life.

Workshops to share and learn.

Throughout the year, the EASYCERAM by CTTC FabLab organizes numerous thematic workshops, with a strong emphasis on hands-on practice, tailored to different levels and needs. These workshops provide a unique opportunity to:

  • Discover material shaping technologies
  • Explore the many applications of ceramics
  • Exchange ideas with passionate experts
  • Learn through a collaborative approach

Here are some examples of workshops we have recently held with students:

  • Creating an ergonomic handle for people with disabilities
  • Designing a personalized mug with specific constraints (location, audience, etc.)

These workshops are tailored to fit the educational institutions and their respective levels. Additionally, the topics vary depending on the educational objectives of the institutions.
