In 2023, the CTTC supported World Wide Water in a development project.
World Wide Water S.A.S is a research and development design firm founded by product designer Tanguy Delaunay-Belleville.
Concerned by issues related to access to drinking water, the idea of creating a tool accessible to as many people as possible began to take shape.
This project aimed to develop a "low-tech" desalination system. The goal was to apply the concept of "frugal innovation" so that production could be carried out in situ, adapting the manufacturing method to local artisan groups.
It is based on a simple principle: "Innovate better with less, in a more sustainable and accessible way for all."
World Wide Water called on the CTTC to contribute its expertise in design, materials, and shaping processes, while considering local resource constraints and available materials.
Collaboration continued with the Coopérative MU design office to assess the ecological impact based on different production scenarios.

A great project with promising prospects for the future!
